Currently in Mongolia, there is a limited water resources, that consist mainly in ground water. This imitated amount of water doesn't allow the normal developing of the country, since most of this important resource is appointed to human consumption and farming activities. Although that in the South Gobi Region has been detected a vast amount of mineral resources, such as gold, coal and copper, the limited amount of water for mining and industrial activities, does not allow to explode these resources. Many companies and countries are interested to invest in Mongolia, but the limited water resource brakes all efforts to develop the mining activities.
Focusing in the limited water resource, the Study look for alternatives to solve this problem and made recommendations that has to be taken during the project, such as, revising the water usage legislation capacity building for water supply technologies, environmental measures and water usage management, seek for involvement of the private sector.
