After completion of Kawaji Dam in 1986, the river water turned turbid for long periods of time, twice in three years after the construction work ended. To solve this problem CTI suggested the installation of an osmosis fence and water selection intake system on the river. The facilities installation work ended in 2004. CTI was in charge of the system test run and results evaluation.
According to follow up studies and evaluations ran on the river system, it was determined that the method chosen for this problem was adequate and that improvement of the river environment was exceptional.
