The project aimed to improve the hydrological observation network in the Pasig Marikina River Basin with the implementation of a more effective flood forecasting operation system. With the network's improvement, warning and flood information could be issued promptly to affected residents and this would greatly contribute to the flood damage mitigation in Metro Manila. The project has been implemented with Japan's Grant Aid and CTI's services include the design and supervision of : (1) construction of 7 hydrological stations; (2) installation of digitized telemetry system and online data processing system, and; (3) technical guidance and system management assistance services instruction aimed to the government counterpart personnel.
