The alluvial plain of Tokyo and Kanagawa located in the Kanto Area, suffers from inundations because of a heavy population density in the mentioned areas. To solve deficiencies in rainwater disposal, its necessary to develop new integrated drainage systems to enhance efficiency.

With this research, all the conduits and natural rivers are input into an integrated model and comprehensively analyzed with high accuracy. Then the company's expertise and knowledge are applied in development of an inundation prevention plan, which includes such measures as retarding ponds, diversion of water in the network, utilization of retarding effect by some trunk lines and some functional change in weirs. As a result, this difficult urban problem is solved within short project periods and an low cost.
