The government of Nicaragua required assistance for the maintenance and construction of new bridges along the No. 7 National Highway. CTI was in charge for carrying out the studies needed for the elaboration of construction plan that meets the needs of Nicaragua and at the same time assuring that this road improvement is done with all the environmental considerations needed.

Also CTI researched for the current situation of Nicaraguan road administration and personnel capabilities; coast estimates, environmental effects, land usage, current social situation in the area and probable effects. Information that is useful for future sustainable development of the community and surroundings.
