A request made by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Japan in 2002, for the establishment of an Environmental Monitoring System.

This project took form in 2005 via Japan Grant Aid. CTI was in charge of the implementation of the system, that included the construction of an laboratory, acquiring and installation of equipments and transferring technical and management knowledge to the Pakistani counterparts.
