"CTI Group Sustainability Challenge" has been announced - Proposing new values to realize sustainability through infrastructure development.

Sustainability

The CTI Group, led by CTI Engineering Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Tetsumi Nakamura; hereafter referred to as the Company), has compiled and published the CTI Group Sustainable Challenge, a policy for working on various proposals to realize 'sustainability' through infrastructure development.

To achieve sustainability through infrastructure development, the CTI Group proposes new values that contribute to the simultaneous achievement of regional "disaster prevention," "environmental conservation," and "regional revitalization" through the co-creation of diverse entities and the skillful utilization of the power of nature.

1. Challenges in consulting services

In each consulting services related to infrastructure development, we will contribute to the creation of a sustainable society by proposing services that take the following into consideration, and we will promote the branding of CTI and the value-added enhancement of the results of our work.

(1) We propose disaster prevention and mitigation measures that take advantage of nature's buffering and resilience against external forces.

(2) We propose measures that contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions over the life cycle of infrastructure development.

(3) We propose measures that contribute to waste reduction over the lifecycle of infrastructure development.

(4) We propose measures that contribute to coexistence with the natural environment over the lifecycle of infrastructure development.

(5) We propose measures that contribute to regional revitalization through the utilization of ecosystem services provided by natural capital.

2. Challenges to promote sustainability in society

The CTI Group will strive to reduce the environmental impact of its own corporate activities and contribute to projects that improve the sustainability of local communities, thereby enhancing corporate value through the trust and empathy of relevant stakeholders.

(1) Reduce carbon dioxide emissions from corporate activities to virtually zero by 2030.

(2) We will establish a budget line for CTI Group sustainable investment and invest in projects that improve the sustainability of local communities, while promoting related research and development and human resource development.

In addition, Engineering Headquarters of the Company will monitor challenges in consulting services and promote horizontal deployment of advanced initiatives.

4. Timely and appropriate disclosure of non-financial information

In addition, we will strive to improve knowledge and awareness of ESG investment within the Group by responding to the Carbon Disclosure Project's (CDP) request for responses to the Climate Change Questionnaire.
