To promote open innovation, we opened the CTI Group Innovation Studio, an open innovation center, on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, and held an opening ceremony that day.
■ Background on the establishment of the open innovation center
On February 14, 2025, the CTI Engineering Group revised the management target figures of its Mid- to Long-Term Vision "SPRONG 2030" with the target year of 2030, and established the Mid-Term Management Plan for 2027, a three-year management plan ending in fiscal 2027. The basic policy of the Mid-Term Management Plan for 2027 consists of two pillars: "Business Portfolio Transformation" and "Rebuilding the Foundation for Growth" Of these, the direction for Business Portfolio Transformation is further divided into four areas: "Deepening of Core Business Areas," "Acceleration of Growth Areas," "Exploration for New Businesses," and "Overseas Business Development." We believe that developing new technologies and businesses through open innovation based on internal and external collaboration is key to driving these transformations.
In order to promote open innovation, we believe that it is effective to have "an environment that facilitates the generation of new ideas" and "an environment that encourages networking" through the "internal and external communication of the Group's challenges and needs" and the "internal roll-out of technologies owned by outside companies." After discussing the details of setting up such a base within the company, we decided to establish the CTI Group Innovation Studio as a center for open innovation.
